This is a quiet and very versatile studio-quality microphone or instrument preamp. Can be used as a preamp for mic bass keyboard or guitar for home recording. It contains one 12AX7 preamp tube commonly found in guitar amplifiers to add quiet signal boost of up to 70db. Great for boosting and warming any mic but especially a condenser. I've used it only in my studio and the tube has only seen approximately 6 hours. It has 1/4" in/out and XLR in/out phantom power for condenser mics LED power/clipping indicator. The later models have a VU meter but it's the same concept - It clips at gt;+3dB. Original Factory power source included. Mint condition. See customer reviews on Amazon--mostly 5 stars.
